Anchorage Tea Party/Rally- June 24- Another Success

200-250 people attended the Tea Party/Rally. A good time was had by all. Live music, dynamic speakers with conservative message, hotdogs and cupcakes. A dozen new members joined CPG. Thanks for coming.

April 15 Tax Day Wasilla Tea Party- AWESOME

The CPG hosted Wasilla Tea Party was a great success. There was music, speakers and food. We estimate between 800-1000 people attended the tea party. People were energized and ready to pledge their honor, time and fortunes to take this country back from the liberal left and return it to conservative values. About a 1000  hot dogs were served and hundreds of cup cakes were eaten. About 600 people signed the Petition Demanding that Alaska Join in the Law Suit Against the Health Care Reform Bill.  People lined the sidewalks and waved signs at the motorist in passing cars and trucks who responed by honking their horns. The age of the crowd was diverse. Senior citizens as well as mothers with young children attended the rally. It was an awesome event.  Governor Sarah Palin sent a personal note that was read at the tea party.

 Beluga Whale Town Hall

Between 175-185 people attended the Feb. 15th CPG sponsored Beluga Whale Cook Inlet Critical Habitat Designation Town Hall.  The common theme echoed by all five speakers: The feds attempt to designate Cook Inlet as Critical Habitat is based on incomplete and inaccurate data and bad science and the effort to designating Cook Inlet as critical habitat is premature. What we should do to combat this designation -  First we should send in our written comments to NMFS opposing the designation prior to the March 3rd deadline.  Secondly and more important we should contact our Governor and State representatives and senators and demand they commit whatever resources are necessary to combat the endangered species listing and this critical habitat designation.  This would include hiring top scientist to gather the necessary data and information that would then be used to disprove and rebut the inaccurate and incomplete data being used by the Feds.

Another large turnout for the Feb. 4 members meeting in Wasilla.  80+ members attended the meeting.  Several new members joined CPG.  We are growing rapidly. It was announced that CPG would be hosting a one hour live radio talk show beginning Saturday, March 6th, on KBYR, and on every Saturday thereafer, from 9:00-10:00a.m. Members voice a loud approval in support of the talk show. CPG Members were also polled at the meeting about supporting Rinos and by a loud and resounding no, made it clear that CPG is not to support Rinos.

The Wasilla premiere showing of "Not Evil Just Wrong" was a success.  About 85 people attended the viewing. The movie was well received and we picked up six new members. The reoccurring message in the movie is the environmental extremist community believe people are a blight on the earth and that the population should be drastically reduced, but interestingly enough, none of them have volunteered to go first. These extremist have siezed on the argument that manmade CO2 emissions are affecting our climate to demand drastic reductions in emissions, by curtailing energy usage, as a means of saving the earth, knowing that such draconian measures would result in massive poverty and  hundreds of millions of deaths worldwide. In reality manmade CO2 represents only about one-tenth of one percent of greenhouse gases in the atmosphere. CO2 is the bread of life, it is the gas we exhale when we breath. Without CO2 all plant life on earth would cease to exisit; humans and animals shortly thereafter.

Conservative take all eight seats at Matsu Fish & Game Advisory Board Election.  Conservatives are on the march.  CPG working with conservative outdoors groups(1) help sweep 16 candidates to victory in the Advisory Board Elections in both Anchorge and the Mat-Su.  Folks when conservative groups work together in a coalition we can rout the liberals every time. Lets keep working together and take our country back.

Accomplishments:

Since our incorporation in July 2009, we have been politically active. In June we were successful in convincing the Mat-Su Assembly to place the Strong Mayor proposition on the October ballot.  In February we started the Conservative Patriots Group radio talk show, which airs each Saturday morning at 9:00 a.m. on KBYR, 700 AM, and is anchored by the well know radio talk show host Glen Biegel. CPG representatives delivered 3000 signatures to the Governor's office in Anchorge on the afternoon of April 16th demanding the State join in the lawsuit against Obamacare. The event made the Channel 11 News. We sponsored a town hall on Cook Inlet Beluga Whale Critical Habitat Designation. We were instrumental in getting conservative candidates elected to both the Anchorage and Mat-Su Fish and Game Advisory Boards. In the October Matsu Borough elections our efforts and radio ads were instrumental in getting the sales tax initiative defeated and two conservative candidates elected into office and a very liberal assembly member defeated in her reelection bid. CPG has sponsored two doctor panel town halls where local doctors had an opportunity to voice their opinions on health care reform.
