I have the most conservative voting record in the Legislature. I have co-sposored pro life legislation, been very vocal on parental consent and prime co-sponsored the legislation. I have been endorsed by the NRA for District 30. Sponsored legislation to lower taxes. Was one of the only 4 legislators to offer budget cutting amendments in all of my operating budget sub-commitees. I sponsored resolutions on critical habitat for Belugas, led the legislature on opening ANWR and supporting development. I have volunteered in Distriric 30 forover 10 years as the Republican chair of D30, sat as Vice President on the Abbott Loop Community Council, Board member for Red Cross of Alaska. Been involved with all PTA's in my district, homeschool my son through Frontier Charter School and am a strong voice for School choice. America in the 21st century

America in the 21st century

“A republic if you can keep it.” These are the words of Benjamin Franklin when he was asked at the close of the Constitutional Convention what kind of government the founding fathers had created. Keeping that republic is the overriding issue of the 21st century for Americans.

We as Americans are faced today with many issues which will have resounding and long lasting effects on our country. Immigration, terrorism, invasion by the Islamic hordes, the idea put forth by the “one world government” promoters of a Transnational North American Union, the rise of the insane idea of “political correctness and multiculturalism”. All of these issues and more are facing us today.

To understand where America is going and to shape its course in the 21st century we must understand the basics of what the founding fathers gave us, for if we do not understand the foundations of the American system, the house that is America will come tumbling down.

What the founding fathers created was a two pillar system. We can best understand these pillars by looking at the Declaration of Independence. Elucidated clearly in this document are the two things that define the American system of governance. They are “NATURAL RIGHTSand THE CONSENT OF THE GOVERNED”

From NATURAL RIGHTS we gain the idea of “constitutionalism” in which the people through a constitution limit themselves, but spell out clearly that individuals possess “natural rights” by their nature as human beings and that those rights are god given and are notable to be forfeited and “republicanism” or self-government which is agreed to by the consent of “we the people”.

The system of government that the founding fathers created is one which is constitutionally limited by individual rights and the equality of individual citizenship and democracy based on the idea of a self-governing free people.

Let us pick two of the aforementioned issues before the American people as an example of how American citizenship and our liberal democratic nation-state will be affected in the 21st century. These issues are the transnational new world order conundrum and massive immigration.

There are two doctrines which have traditionally guided the American thought process regarding immigration,adherence to the foundation principles of American constitutional democracy and American assimilation. The foundation principles are set forth in two core documents the Declaration of Independenceand the Constitution. Both of these affirm the sovereignty of a single American people. To witness this you need only read the Preamble to the U.S.Constitution: “We the people of the United States…do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States.”

We must glean three things from these documents: (1) we are one people in one sovereign nation-state; (2) the people are sovereign and self-governing; (3) the authority of the government is limited by the “natural rights” of the people. It can be said that Americais a nation-state united not by common ethnic and religious roots but by theideals of liberty, equality of citizenship, and individual rights.

American assimilation can be summed up to mean that immigrants adopt American civic values and accept American heritage as their own regardless of when or where they came from. American assimilation means an emotional as well as a philosophical commitment to the nation. Thus,George Washington, in a letter to John Adams, stated that immigrants should be integrated into American life so that "by an inter mixture with our people,they, or their descendants, get assimilated to our customs, measures, and laws: in a word soon become one people”

Alexander Hamilton insisted that "the safety of a republic depends essentially on the energy of a common national sentiment; on a uniformity of principles and habits; on the exemption of citizens from foreign bias and prejudice; and on the love of country which will almost invariably be found to be closely connected with birth, education, and family." The ultimate success of the American republic, he maintained, depends upon "the preservation of a national spirit and a national character," among native born and immigrant alike.

Clearly the founders insisted on American patriotic assimilation so much so that the Naturalization Law of 1795 required a renunciation under oath of any previous sovereign allegiances. This clause remains today in the law!

One hundred years later President Theodore Roosevelt signed his name to the “Federal Textbook on Citizenship Training” this is what it said:

“In the first place we should insist that if the immigrant who comes here in good faith becomes an American and assimilates himself to us, he shall be treated on an exact equality with everyone else, for it is an outrage to discriminate against any such man because of creed, or birthplace, or origin. But this is predicated upon the man's becoming in very fact an American and nothing but an American...There can be no divided allegiance here. Any man who says he is an American, but something else also, isn't an American at all. We have room for but one flag, the American flag, and this excludes the red flag, which symbolizes all wars against liberty and civilization, just as much as it excludes any foreign flag of a nation to which we are hostile...We have room for but one language here, and that is the English language...and we have room for but one soul [sic] loyalty and that is a loyalty to the American people.”

Woodrow Wilson was a bitter rival of Theodore Roosevelt. But on the issue of assimilating immigrants they sounded very much like each other, and very like the founders. Thus, at a ceremony in Philadelphiain 1915, President Wilson praised the contributions of immigrants and spoke oftheir obligations to America.He declared:

"You cannot dedicate yourself to America unless you become in every respect and with every purpose of your will thoroughly Americans. You cannot become thoroughly Americans if you think of yourselves in groups. A man who thinks of himself as belonging to a particular national group in America has not yet become an American."

Thus was the idea of “Americanization” a strongly held tenet until the 1960’s when the 1965 Immigration bill spearheaded by Ted Kennedy replaced this axiom with that of political correctness and multiculturalism and to express the idea of

“Americanization”was to be a “racist and a xenophobe” in today’s lexicon we can also add “nativeist”. Beginning with the 1965 Kennedy Immigration bill and continuing through the 1986 Kennedy Immigration and Amnesty act and today with the defeated Comprehensive Immigration bill the idea of “Americanization” has given way to the esoteric notion of “group rights” and “transnationlism”. Architects of “Transnational America” see the United States as a sort of cosmopolitan federation of national colonies made up of foreign cultures moving back and forth between other lands and having allegiances to many other cultures and ethnic beliefs. America has become ground zero for the “new world order” crowd and in their minds it will become the epitome of the “multicultural utopia”.

To illustrate the pervasiveness of this thought process let me point you to the words of Alexander Alienikoff who was in a key position at the INS during the 90’s.Alienikoff declares: “America is under constant contract renegotiation”, this renegotiation is to be undertaken by “mutually respecting ethnic groups”. Alienikoff is expressing the fact that the American idea of assimilation is morphing into the concept of aTransnational America, thus exposing the real agenda of the Ted Kennedy,multicultural, anti American nexus the destruction of traditional America values and the replacement of American sovereignty with that of a Transnational conglomerate. Another key player who was the INS deputy commissioner in 1990 isRobert Bach. Bach is quoted as saying: “The problem in America may not be diversity but homogeneity.” Thus at the highest levels of our government assimilation becomes a problem not a solution.

Working hand inhand with the transnational lobby are activist immigration lawyers who have tirelessly worked to weaken American immigration laws and traditions. Some of the measures they have been pushing are the following:

1) Ending the requirement to renounce prior allegiances.

2) Ending theEnglish language requirement because it is discriminatory.

3) Eliminating the citizenship test completely.

4) Erasing alllegal distinctions between citizens and non-citizens.

5) Encouraging laws granting voting rights to non-citizens.

6) Promoting dual citizenship.

7) Creating new legal categories of “discrimination” that would consider non-citizens legal orillegal as members of a victim group thus bestowing preferential treatment onthis people.

8) Proposing that international immigration law override U.S. constitutional law.

The elites of theNew World Order, the Hate America crowd, the multicultural sycophants, the ACLU, and the Washington politicos have become an amalgamated army for change, a change which does not bode well for the American dream.

The assumptions of this group include but are not limited to:

1) The primacy of the culture group over the individual citizen.

2) A dichotomy of groups namely oppressor groups versus victim groups. Immigrate groups are of course victim groups. Oppressor groups are singularly defined as “white male Anglos”.

3) Group proportionlism as a goal of society.

4) The values of all dominant institutions must be changed to reflect the values of victims groups.

5) Pursue demographic changes which will render the traditional American land scape obsolete.

6) Redefine American democracy from one that trumpets majority rule among equal citizens to one in which power is shared among cultural groups of both citizens and non-citizens.

We are at a crossroad in America and it remains to be seen whether this American generation will rise to the challenge or allow 230 years of American tradition to be swept into the dust bin of history. The challenge to traditional American ideals of citizenship,patriotism, and assimilation are formidable. We are faced with the survival ofthe American paradigm. If our system is based not on individual rights, but on group rights, not on equal citizenship for all but on certain categories of groups including non-citizens who are deserving of special treatment, not on majority rule, but power sharing by different ethnic, racial, gender, and linguistic groups, not on constitutional law but transnational law; then this country will cease to be “constitutional”, “democratic” and “American”. This land of ours will simply become a balkanized, “post-constitutional”, “post-democratic”,“post-American” nightmare!

So friends this is our challenge to us, this generation of Americans, and it is literally a matter of life or death:

The United States government is out of control…this memo from USCIS is an outrageous usurpation of power. This is a classic example of the Hussein regime going around Congress! As with the EPA who has said to Congress if you do not enact Cap and Trade and CO2 emissions standards “we will do it anyway”, so too has USCIS…if you do not grant amnesty to illegal’s “we will do it anyway!” DE-FACTO AMNESTY FOR ILLEGAL’S!

According to an internal U.S.Citizenship and Immigration Services memo going the rounds of Capitol Hilland obtained by National Review, the agency is considering ways in which itcould enact “meaningful immigration reform absent legislative action” — that is, without the consent of the American people through a vote in Congress.

“This memorandum offers administrative relief options to . . . reduce the threat of removal for certain individuals present in the United States without authorization,” it reads.

Also: “In the absence of Comprehensive Immigration Reform, USCIS can extend benefits and/or protections to many individuals and groups by issuing new guidance and regulations, exercising discretion with regard to parole-in-place,deferred action and the issuance of Notices to Appear (NTA), and adopting significant process improvements.”

In recent weeks, Sen. Chuck Grassley and others in Congress have been pressingthe administration to disavow rumors that a de facto amnesty is in the works,including in a letter to Department of Homeland Security head Janet Napolitano. “Since the Senators first wrote to the president more than a month ago, we have not been reassured that the plans are just rumors, and we have every reason to believe that the memo is legitimate,” a Grassley spokesman tells NR. (NR contacted DHS, but aspokesman did not have a comment on the record.)

Many of the memo’s proposals are technical and fine-grained; for example, it suggests clarifying the immigration laws for “unaccompanied minors, and for victims of human trafficking, domestic violence, and other criminalactivities.” It also proposes extending the “grace period” H-1B visa holder shave between the expiration of their visa and the date they’re expected toleave the country.

With other ideas, however, USCIS is aiming big. Perhaps the most egregious suggestion is to “Increase the Use of Deferred Action.” “Deferred action,” as the memo defines it, “is an exercise of prosecutorial discretion not to pursue removal from the U.S.of a particular individual for a specific period of time.” For example, afte Hurricane Katrina, the government decided not to remove illegal immigrants who’d been affected by the disaster.

The memo claims that there are no limits to USCIS’s ability to use deferred action, but warns that using this power indiscriminately would be“controversial, not to mention expensive.” The memo suggests using deferred action to exempt “particular groups” from removal — such as the illegal-immigrant high-school graduates who would fall under the DREAM Act (ameasure that has been shot down repeatedly in Congress). The memo claims that the DREAM Act would cover “an estimated 50,000” individuals, though as many as 65,000 illegalimmigrants graduate high school every year in the U.S.

In the immediate wake of the court decision blocking the Arizona immigration law yesterday, the memo is sure to create controversy — and the sense that the administration is bent on preserving and extending the nation’s de facto amnesty!

A legitimate government

Think about it, in a constitutional republic, where democracy is the rule, legitimacy is realized by at least two things.

The first one is responsibility. That is, the elected representatives must be responsible to those who put them in office. That means they should not always vote the party line if the majority of their constituents are opposed to something the representatives party is advocating.

The second is accountability. I have yet to see anyone in Washington D.C. stand before a microphone and claim responsibility for the shape our country is in right now. Not only is no one saying how we got to where we are, but they are also asking for more money to perpetuate their failures.

The new health care plan does a subtle thing: it makes citizens into subjects. It is a trojan horse, that will be the entry vehicle for all manner of control over our personal lives.

It is imperative that we remove, as soon as possible, all who have a part, or had a part in the making of this mess, and be zealous in knowing the standing and state of our elected representatives characters. We don't need more politicians, we need statesmen.

I am not convinced the two party system is good for America, which is why I joined the Constitution Party. But in Alaska I am an "undeclared."

Republicans are not republicans anymore. Democrats are socialists. This is not the country my ancestors fought for, and this is not the legacy they desired for their children, nor is it mine.

REALLY?? Mead Treadwell for Lt. Governer. Please rethink this. He is hardly a constitutional conservative. He has endorsed Lisa Murkowski, who we all know where she stands, conservative when it favors her at election time and liberal otherwise. We don't need someone like her in the statehouse, one step from governership. I'm a new member and I realize not all people will agree all the time on all issues. I also know you are just giving your recommendation to people, so I and others are always free to choose for someone truly conservative, but wow was I surprised to see that endorsement, you have been so right on on the others, it jumped out like a sore thumb. An open letter to my fellow Americans

My fellow Americans you are under attack! Your enemies are from within and without, their intent is to enslave you or exterminate you. If you care not about this impending disaster then, do nothing!

If you see the truth of this premise and you wish to remain free then you must stand up and be counted, for time is running out! Perhaps you will come to realize that you are not alone. Remember there is “strength in numbers” but remember also the corollary “divide and conquer”.

We must join together in resistance to this dire threat to our country and our culture; we must raise our voices in a furious outcry, a chorus of disapproval which will be heard around the world. If you choose to do nothing then the atrocity that is Islam will reign supreme, your children and grandchildren will be doomed to bang their heads on the floor in a senseless obeisance to a pagan deity whose promise is heavenly debauchery in exchange for a worldly Jihad of murder, violence, and bloody conflict.

In the dim light of Mosques and Madras’s all over the world the word will go forth that your wife’s, daughters and grand daughters are nothing more than gender slaves, breeding machines for the Islamic Umma (greater Islamic community), available to the sick pathetic adherents of Islam too beat, rape and grind into submission.

Beaware of this; the barbarians are inside the gates and they are strengthened,adored, and appeased by all the usually dramatis personae, the Academic apologist, MSM Multiculturalists, Politically Correct Washington Elites, Marxists, Communists, Socialists and America haters! The ethnic cleansing is about to begin, our complacency, apathy and hedonistic indulgence have created a fertile land where the followers’ of Islam’s evil prophet circle like vultures waiting to pick us off one at a time.

“Subjugation of the masses, by any means” is their agenda and their preferred tool of oppression is the “Slave of Allah” (Muslims), a holy book in one hand and a Scimitar in the other.

Please believe me when I say, they find us easy prey. While we indolently, in the light of our well meaning indulgent society, forage in the forests of enlightened reason, so typical of Western naivety, the wolves of Islam stalk us and as is always the case where the law of the jungle prevails, it is always those most driven who win the day. And believe me when I say the Islamist's are well driven... both by their filthy book of hate (Quran) and their deranged and murderous prophet (Muhammad). If one wish’s to contradict that assumption then it is incumbent on my part to only point out that over the nearly 1400 years Islam has existed it has produced 270 million dead souls who would say otherwise!

It is the avowed intention of Islam to rewrite our history, undermine the foundations of our society, drain our resources, murder us in mass, degenerate our achievements and day after day, one step at a time enslave us!

History has told us that you cannot enslave people who are prepared to die; I believe that paradigm may be the only option open to us. We must proudly take heart in knowing that our forefathers walked this bloody road before us. Slavery to a pagan deity done in his name or Muhammad’s is an abomination, surrender to the worst of human depravity. Whether this surrender is done under the guise of Political Correctness, Multiculturalism, Diversity, shared cultural values, the Religion of Peace or Sharia Law, it still remains a cancer of the human psyche that must be excised without remorse.

Simply put, we must push aside the moral masturbation of the appeasers, throw off the chains of the liberal left “Mea Culpa” and unite under the banner of “Americans United for the destruction of Islam” or one by one we shall cease to exist!

So tonight when you put your children or grand children to bed and then you go downstairs to await tomorrow’s dawn you must understand that you have a choice,you can decide to act for the sake ofthose upstairs.

Are "We the People" up for a little rebellion?

The U.S. Constitution gives "We the People" the power to REBEL every 2 years.

Every 2 years EVERY seat in the U.S. House of Representatives is up for grabs, along with one-third of the Senate seats. Every 2 years "We the People" have the opportunity to put every member of the House of Representatives out of a job.

Do we?

Tea Partiers reflect the general public's growing distrust and dissatisfaction of our elected representatives, who no longer serve their constituents, but have become career politicians with a hunger and addiction for power, popularity and privilege. The approval rating for Congress hovers consistently around 19%.

Yet in spite of the pitiful approval rating, history has proven again and again that on election day 90% of incumbents are resoundingly RE-ELECTED! Because of name recognition, bribes to constituents ("PORK") and obscene amounts of campaign cash, incumbents have little trouble holding onto their seats.

There are over 35,000 lobbyists in Washington DC, which amounts to over 60 lobbyists per elected representative and senator! Career politicians are deep in the pockets of the lobbyists every day they spend in Washington DC. Politicians are treated like royalty, wined and dined, given lavish gifts and campaign contributions in exchange for their advocacy. This continual ego-stroking alienates politicians from their constituency and puffs up their sense of self-importance.

Alexis de Tocqueville, an 18th Century French political thinker, historian and writer, observed that the American Republic would endure until the day Congress discovered that it can bribe the public with the public's money. After that, the majority always votes for the candidate promising the most "pork."

Do the majority of "We the People" reflect the greedy self-interest of the political class? Has the moral tie that binds the American people to liberty and common nationhood been broken?

Have we reached the point where we think we are our own masters, no longer held accountable to the God of the universe? Have we reached the tipping point where there is no return to the common values that made the United States unique in the world?

Has the American experiment failed?

This article is from the above website. I think it's good information and something we need to keep in mind as we head toward the elections in the fall. It's not going to be a "slam dunk" removing the liberal left. The left is very well "organized" and they have a plan. Our plan must be better if we're going to take back our country.

Many people have been roused to the need to "do something" to prevent our country from being dismantled. However, most people don't know what to do or how to start being politically active because the political landscape seems so BIG and OVERPOWERING.

But people WILL respond and act if they are asked.

The Left not only ASKS, but they give instructions and TELL their followers EXACTLY what to do, and when.

The Left is not only highly mobilized, they are fanatical and engaged. Hundreds and possibly thousands in every state are meeting and getting email marching orders with specific talking points. They are being encouraged to contact their friends, neighbors, and first-time voters about the issue of the day, as well as find new voters every week.

The races leading up to the November election are going to be difficult and challenging, and a large and dedicated group of people on the Left are already engaged in the battle. With this kind of dedication there is no guarantee that the "anti-incumbent" atmosphere in today's political climate will carry over to election day, or that it will significantly impact the elections. (This sounds crazy, but nearly 90% of incumbents get re-elected!)

Compare the kind of outreach you receive from Republicans or conservative groups to the effort made by Organizing For America and other left-wing groups. Does it even come close? Are their web sites as effective and full of organizing tools and talking points as My Barack Obama is?
